Autumn Wishes

Hello,

I have a simple card today inspired by the color challenge for Your Next Stamps :)

Here is my card!

I've used the Bold Florals stencil from Artplorations (Stamplorations), and distress inks for the flowers and leaves. The sentiment is diecut using WPlus9 dies, from green cardstock, and attached to a patterned vellum sheet. I've adhered it to the stencil panel and attached to a green top folding note card. To add more interest, I've created dew drops effect using glossy accents :)

Fairy Dust - Altered Pill Bottle

Hello,

I'm guest designing at Itsy Bitsy! Check out the complete post here.
I'm using the Little Birdie's Fairy Dust glitter for my creations.

Glitter can find its place anywhere and not just card making! I had this very small medicine bottle and didn't have the heart to throw it away. Fairy Dust struck me and here I've altered the bottle :) This idea came when I was thinking what to do with the left over glitter that fell down while making the cards! I hated to waste them, so mixed all of the blue, pink shades and used it here :)

I applied mod podge and filled with the mixed glitter while the glue is still wet. Tap off the excess and allow it to dry overnight. Once dry, check for empty spots and repeat the process.

Tip: To prevent the glitter from falling and sticking to your hands, coat with 1 or 2 layers of mod podge leaving sufficient drying time in between.

I then embellished using a golden ribbon and a couple of gem stickers. Did you notice the golden border at the base of the bottle? It is nothing but the scalloped scrap from the butterfly card :)

Able to see the mix of colours in the glitter? That's my scrap dust!!

To understand how tiny it is, look at what I've kept inside - Toothpicks! :)

Fairy Dust - Shaker ATC

Hello,

I'm guest designing at Itsy Bitsy! Check out the complete post here.
I'm using the Little Birdie's Fairy Dust glitter for my creations.

This is a Shaker ATC, made for the theme of Double-side ATC.

Take white cardstock, fill it with double side tape and diecut the frames as required. Remove the release paper and fill it with Teal Fairy Dust. Create another similar frame for the backside too. Attach acetate on the inner side and glue them. Using foam tape, attach the 2 frames, after filling it with all the shaker elements of your choice. Here I've used a lot of blue shaded sequins, pearls, a blue butterfly, glitter dust, and even a double sided sentiment that says "Dream Big" and "Make a Wish". These sentiments are from the Jumbo Wishes stampset.

Fairy Dust CAS Card - 2

Hello,

I'm guest designing at Itsy Bitsy! Check out the complete post here.
I'm using the Little Birdie's Fairy Dust glitter for my creations.

Just because you went wrong the first time, you won't stop right! Here is my second try on the stencil technique. This time I made sure my stencil is firmly placed and no gaps between the stencil and the cardstock. I filled it with a different shade of pink - Sheer Rose Fairy Dust. Once I removed the stencil, I got a lovely design and I decided to fill the open areas in silver using the Silver Fairy Dust. Die cut a scallop rectangle and assembled as a CAS card.

Fairy Dust CAS Card - 1

Hello,

I'm guest designing at Itsy Bitsy! Check out the complete post here.
I'm using the Little Birdie's Fairy Dust glitter for my creations.

This is a CAS card using the stencil technique. I took a white cardstock and filled it with double sided tape. I placed the TCW Mini Daisy Cluster stencil and filled with Hot Pink Fairy Dust. It was awesome to look at those shiny gorgeous flowers, but when I took the stencil out, I figured out I hadn't placed it firm enough and there was glitter in other areas too apart from the open areas. Mistakes can become a different art sometimes! So I filled the entire base with glitter. placed the stencil again and applied glitter to make the flowers darker. There you go with a pink self design!

I diecut a scallop rectangle from the stenciled panel and assembled onto the card base at an angle, trimming the rest of the panel.

Football Easel Card + Gift Holder

Hello,

This is my 100th post and I'm glad a special gift has made its place here! :)

Today I have a card that I made for a colleague who is a football player. It is an easel card, along with a box at the bottom for holding our team's wishes on his farewell.

I've used Papericious Pretty Basics paper stack for the green polka dots sheet. The easel card is made using circle die cuts on green cardstock using Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Circle dies. I printed and fussy cut a football image from the net, and attached to the frame using foam tape. For more interest, I added glossy accents on the black areas. I handwrote the sentiment using Versamark watermark pen and heat embossed in black. For the stopper, I used a stamp from Mudra - Humming Birds stampset, and heat embossed in black. It is mounted on foam tape and attached to the base.

I used an empty cello tape roll for the box at the base. I gave a couple of coats of white gesso inside and out. Once dry, I attached another green diecut for the base. The hinge is formed using a strip of green cardstock so that the box opens on the top. To keep it simple and masculine, I added just one button and one silver sequin on the front.

I had all the wishes in small chits added in the box and that completes the gift box! :)

Unicorn Slider Card

Hello,

I'm hit by interactive cards these days and here is another creation, inspired by a card I found on Pinterest.

I've used the Stay Magical stampset from Mudra for the castle, unicorn and sentiment. Stamping is done using Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed in black. The clouds are created using Create a Scene - Clouds, Land and Grass stencil from CraftyScrappers and Salty Ocean distress ink. I've used Faber Castell watercolor pencils to color the castle and the unicorn. Stamped a few solid stars in different colors of distress inks to make the card look more colorful. The slider area is fussy cut. The unicorn is attached to a foam tape and button for easy slide. The panel is attached to the card base with 2 layers of foam tape.

I've also added glossy accents to the castle and the unicorn for more interest :) Here are some pics!

Bunny Magic Slider Card

Hello,

Today I'm here with a cute interactive card - Magic Slider. I made this card for a dear friend Akshma :)

Have a look at the finished creation first.

Does it look simple? Want to see the magic? Pull the tab!

It's so cute isn't it? For the main panel, I distressed Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn to form the grass and sky. I used the Clouds stencil from CraftyScrappers. The center part is diecut using Gina Marie Scallop Stitched Circles die. Stamp the bunny from Mudra - Playful Bunnies stampset using Versafine Onyx Black on a separate cardstock, color it (I've used distress inks) and fussy cut it. On the inner panel, create the background and add this bunny. Stamp and color a few hearts from the same stampset.

Stamp the bunny on an acetate sheet and heat emboss in black. Align the inner and outer panels and accordingly, place the acetate so that the bunnies match perfectly. For the pull tab, I created a sunshine effect using the Sun stencil from CraftyScrappers. Assemble all the layers and finish the slider part.

Mount the slider onto a blue cardstock. The sentiment is stamped using onyx black ink. I've added glossy accents below the sentiment and around the scallop circle for more interest.

Here are some more pics.
